"John Moore has my complete confidence, and I fully support his candidacy for Smith County commissioner. I've worked closely with John on a number of efforts to advance conservative policy. He is a thoughtful conservative, responsible about public safety, and tight about our tax dollars. John will be accountable to the citizens and focused on results. He will demonstrate the kind of leadership that will make us proud."
“Upon taking office as your Smith County Sheriff in January of 2013, I was looking for the right person to hire as a Public Information Officer in order to communicate with integrity and consistency, the information to the Smith County citizens from their Sheriff’s Office,” said Sheriff Smith. “I contacted John Moore, whom I have known since around 1990. I knew John to be a person of high moral character and integrity who has always had the courage to make the right decisions in tough and not-so-popular situations. John Moore has always been a strong supporter of Law Enforcement. We need another person of high moral character who is willing, ready and quite capable of serving the citizens of Smith County on the Smith County Commissioner’s Court. Please join me in supporting such a knowledgeable conservative, and capable individual as I know John Moore to be.“
“I have known John Moore for over 35 years. In that period of time, I have watched him become more and more involved in our community through his media expertise and working in and for Smith County government and in state government at the Capitol in Austin. He understands what it takes to negotiate, distribute and manage the Smith County budget. His ability to communicate to everyone in a positive manner is one of his greatest assets. I am proud to support John in his endeavor seeking the position of county commissioner.”
“During my 36 years leading Trinity Mother Frances, John Moore served as Public Information Officer for 14 of those. Through many positive system achievements, and difficult periods, including 9/11, Hurricanes Rita and Katrina, and serious flu outbreaks, John kept communications clear and concise for patients, the health system, the public, and the media. I’m proud to endorse John’s abilities.“
"When you spend more time working alongside an individual than you do your own family, you get to know the real them. I worked with John Moore all through the 1990’s in the radio business. It’s a tough industry. You have to keep a lot of people happy - advertisers, bosses, but especially the public. John can read people in a way very few can. He listens and he acts. His goal has always been to deliver satisfaction through reasonable and sensible actions. He’s fair and he’s honest. He’s who we need as the next Precinct 2, Smith County Commissioner. I hope you’ll join me and publicly support him. If you live in Precinct 2, please vote for him."

"I am endorsing my friend John Moore for Commissioner of Smith County Precinct 2. I know John’s character. I know his heart for solutions that make sense. In my world, people with a high say/do ratio get the highest marks and John is that person. If he says he will do something, you can count on it. IF for some reason he becomes hindered from getting it done, he will not leave the issue to be swept away. He will tell you with clear explanation of why and what the next steps need to be. John is a clear communicator, honed with decades of working for and around large companies and the general public. I am proud to call him friend."
"I support John Moore for Smith County Commissioner Precinct 2. John's perspective on faith, family and freedom aligns with my belief system. He has a keen sense of leadership and fiscal responsibility that will enable him to make wise decisions for our county."
"Being a life-long resident of Tyler and Smith County, it gives me great satisfaction to see a reputable, hard-working, common-sense conservative candidate like John Moore running for Smith County Commissioner, Precinct 2. I have personally witnessed John’s integrity, work ethic, communication skills and passion for helping others not only during the several years he was my colleague in the Healthcare Industry but also during his extensive public service to East Texas. As a voter, I believe we need more candidates with traditional, faith-based, leadership records like John. I plan to vote for John Moore for Smith County Commissioner Precinct 2 and I urge all precinct 2 voters to do the same. Help us get the word out about this exciting, excellent candidate. “I support John Moore for Smith County Commissioner, Precinct 2. He is a family man, a moral man, a fair man. He deserves your vote.”
“John Moore possesses the needed qualities lacking today in many candidates. He is a proud conservative who believes in sensible spending to provide what county government is authorized and required to provide. He has served in many community roles and given much of his time to help others. He has a servant heart. We are proud to endorse John Moore for Smith County Commissioner, Precinct 2.”
“As a longtime resident and businessman of Smith County, now more than ever it is of the utmost importance that we elect someone with experience who is fiscally conservative. I am endorsing John Moore for Smith County Commissioners Court, Precinct 2. John has served in the Smith County Sheriff’s Office, so he understands the needs of both citizens and county employees. His role as Senior Policy Advisor for State Representative Matt Schaefer during the 2019 Texas Legislative Session has provided him with experience at the state level that few others have. I encourage everyone in Precinct 2 to vote for John Moore for Smith County Commissioner.”
“I moved to Tyler 32 years ago as the Band Director of Whitehouse High School and retired in 2017 after 46 years in Education. One of the first names I came to really like was John Moore, as I listened to him every day on the Radio. I enjoyed him calling people up as a surprise and somehow always made the people feel good about themselves. He was a good news reporter and covered a lot of successful candidates in politics for over 40 years. I had the privilege to meet John and I could tell immediately that he was a good man. He has since moved on to other positions such as the Public Information Officer for the Smith County Sheriff’s Office and he also worked as the Senior Policy Advisor for Rep. Matt Schaefer at the Texas House of Representatives in Austin. John is a candidate for Smith County Commissioner, Precinct 2, and I would like to publicly announce that I endorse and support John Moore for this position. I certainly feel like he is someone we can all trust and that he will always have our best interest at heart. I encourage everyone to vote for John Moore to be our next County Commissioner of Precinct 2.”
“I moved to Ashdown, Arkansas in 1977 when John Moore was in high school. Although he was not in band, he had cousins and many friends in the Ashdown “Purple Pride” Band. As is the case in small towns, you pretty much knew everyone. John came from an incredibly supportive family. He was also on the tennis team, Beta club, and other activities around the school. He even played guitar with some of my students and was a radio host on KMLA radio station in Ashdown. I left Ashdown in 1985 and moved to Plano where I was band director at Williams High School for 33 years. During that time, I reconnected with John as he had moved to East Texas. I followed his writing and was impressed, but not surprised at how well he was doing. From his writings you could easily tell that he was a great family man and involved in his community and civic responsibilities. As with all former students at school where I have taught, you always want to see them grow and make a difference in their communities. I learned from a long-time friend, Denny Whitley of Whitehouse, that John is a candidate for Smith County Commissioner, Precinct 2. It is great to see that John wants to continue giving back to his community. I can attest that John has always been a thoughtful and principled person and if elected will serve you well.”
“We have known John Moore since the 80’s and known him to be a man of his word; always. He’s answered the call in everything he has been asked to do or be a part of. His word has been his bond through his career and through his friendships. We stand behind John 100% and think he will be a tremendous asset to Smith County as Commissioner in Precinct Two.”
“We are greatly concerned about the direction of our country. Since government begins at the local level, the citizens must vote for and elect someone who has our beliefs and best interests in mind. Sensible budgets, sensible taxes, supporting law enforcement, and overseeing and making sure we have voter integrity in our elections. We’ve known John Moore for many years and I have worked side-by-side with him in healthcare, where I’ve seen him spend his own time volunteering to help those who needed assistance getting connected to the right people so that they could find the options they needed to get the best care possible. John is focused, committed, and won’t stop researching and listening to people so that he does the best job possible. Please join my husband Reed and me in endorsing, supporting, and voting for John Moore, and electing him as Smith County Commissioner, Precinct 2.”
“I have known John Moore for more than twenty years. We have worked side-by-side in the medical field to provide the latest cutting-edge information through the news media. John’s attention to detail, follow through, and commitment are top notch, with a focus on minding budgets and meeting deadlines. His guidance through these events was always done with assertiveness and a positive attitude. We became friends; a friendship that has endured my move away from Tyler and Smith County. My wife Sherry and I endorse John without hesitation. For those who live in Precinct 2 in Smith County, I encourage you to support his campaign and most importantly, go to the polls during the Republican Primary in 2022 and cast your ballot. “John Moore and I met many years ago at Loggins Restaurant in Tyler, where we enjoyed some home cooking and Southern conversation. That introduction led to a 20-plus year working relationship in advertising. His communication style is one I treasure. A yes is a yes, and a no is a no. If there’s a hurdle to jump, he finds a way to get over it. If he promises something, he delivers. On time. Running for office isn’t something I would ever do because of the difficulties associated with serving. But I admire those who are willing to endure public service. Especially someone who is exceptionally qualified. I endorse John Moore for Smith County Commissioner, Precinct 2. If you have the opportunity to share some home cooking and Southern conversation with him, you’ll learn that he will say what he does and do what he says.”
“Having worked side-by-side with John Moore in law enforcement, I know John's capabilities and his insight. He listens. He can consume a lot of information and sort it out into the right decisions. I endorse John Moore for Smith County Commissioner Precinct 2, and I ask for you to also support and vote for him.”

John Moore has proven himself both publicly and privately as a man who walks in Faith and truly wants to see America return to greatness. His convictions and focus are exactly what we need right now. I endorse him as the right candidate for the Smith County Commissioners Court, and I encourage everyone in Precinct 2 to go to the polls during the primary election and cast their vote for him.”
“When I served as head of finance at Trinity Mother Frances Health System, John Moore served there as head of communications. That is a 24/7 job that stretched across the region. He worked closely with Smith County, Tyler, and other governmental entities during good times and during times of crises. He has handled large budgets, and managed departments. I have full confidence in his ability to discharge the duties of the office of Smith County Commissioner, and I proudly endorse him.”
“John and I worked together for the University of Texas Health Science Center at Tyler for a number of years. He is a man of integrity, and I found him to always be a reliable source of ethical knowledge. Any time I reached out to John, he was always available to provide me with solid information or to put me in front of the people I needed. I have grown to become good friends with John – and it helps we share the same birthday! He has a servant heart for leadership and always is thinking of the greater good. I can think of no one better suited to improve Smith County’s infrastructure than John Moore.”
